In winter, this hut is ideal for all those who want to enjoy an active and eventful vacation in the Zillertal mountains. In the Zillertal the Opportunities for leisure activities and mountain sports are almost limitless. The Horberghütte is located directly in the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen "MOUNTOPOLIS" ski area, which is one of the largest and most modern ski areas in Tyrol.
The ski area stretches from the Horberg via Penken to the Rastkogel and the Eggalmbahnen. For your perfect and unique skiing vacation, you can access the slopes directly from the hut.
In winter you can drive up to 100 m in front of the Horbeghütte and park there. In spring, summer and fall, you can drive directly to the hut and park your car there.
There are several restaurants nearby and can be reached not only on skis, but also on foot (approx. 15-20 minutes).
